Kids Hope Mentoring | Houston | Weekly

For 24 years St. Luke’s and Kids Hope have partnered together in collaboration with schools, parents, teachers, principals, and counselors to assure kids are valued and loved. Right now, children are awaiting mentors at our partner schools, Briarmeadow and Sutton Elementaries. Do you have an hour a week? “Everything Belongs" by Richard Rohr

January 26 – March 23

This study will focus on “Everything Belongs,” that challenges people to move beyond their comfort level to an understanding of themselves that is rooted in their intimacy with God. Rohr also explains the importance of contemplative prayer as a way to experience God that enables people to appreciate how “everything belongs." Led by Ted Weiss.

Practicing The Way Study

Join for eight sessions of teaching, guided conversation, and spiritual practices designed to lay a foundation for lifelong apprenticeship to Jesus. The Course can be an on-ramp to people new to following Jesus, and a needed refresher for all people seeking to become more like him.

Grief Share Support Group

Starts Tuesday, January 28 | 1–2 p.m. | ES301

GriefShare is a safe, welcoming place where people come together to better understand and process the difficult emotions associated with grief. Through this 13-week, video-based support group program, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way. Men’s Life with Dr. Tom Pace

Join a panel of medical and mental health professionals discuss all the ways a medical diagnosis of yourself or a loved one, impacts your mental health. With the help of NFCC's moderator, Anna Crain, we'll learn practical tools to support ourselves and loved ones as we navigate challenges that many experience at some point.
